Three subjects had undergone a make-over: my blog, our car, and me (myself!).
World of Ideas (Blog)
After a couple of months, I got a bit tired of my old layout so I decided to replace it with a new one. Although this template is new, one element is still retained - the color blue. No, blue is not my favorite color. In fact, I love black more. But for me, the color blue serves a much important value compared to black.
Another change would be the title of my blog. From “Of Being Rob,” it is now “World of Ideas”, although “Journey in Words” is still visible for my Main Page Title.
Why “World of Ideas”?
In Philosophy, World of Ideas is one of the two worlds formulated by Plato. It represents immutable and unchanging forms. And it is discoverable by reason.
Plus, I have added two contents:
I’m also working on my Links Page, and other additional contents for my blog.
XSX 524 (Car)
Early this morning, we went to Dasmarinas, Cavite to have our car checked. The technician fixed the air conditioning system of the car. He also cleaned the filters thoroughly.
We also bought “V7 Perfume Oils”. We chose scent # 6(Watermelon and Citrus”.
Our car also went a refreshing wash, courtesy of Mitsubihi Motors.
Rob Jeremiah G. Nuguid (Me)
I got my hair cut in Ystilo Salon. I have a new hairstyle (faux hawk, I guess), and I like it.
P.S. Leave a comment about the new look of my blog (if you like it or not). Thanks!
Honestly, studying in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila is not easy. I experienced challenges I never faced before. These made me learn lessons and become a better person. My first semester in college is just OK. I got good grades but I’m not really contented and fulfilled.
English Proficiency Instruction I (ENG 11). I got 1.50, a grade higher than what I expected. I thought that I would get a 2.00 or lower because of my not-so-good quizzes. But God, together with my professor, has been very good.
Introduction to Philosophy and Ethics (ETHICS 11). When I received my class card in Philosophy, I thought that I was in a wild dream - a good dream, that is - because I got an excellent grade of 1.00. It is apparent that four months of hard work reaped a bountiful harvest.
Sining ng Komunikasyon (FIL 11).This is the first class card that I received. I got my grade (1.25) in this subject on the third day of the Final Examinations. This marked my first victory in college.
Philippine History and Government (HIST 11). Let’s look on the brighter side. I got a 1.00 in this subject! And I’m really happy about it.
College Algebra (MATH 11). As I half-expected, I got a 2.25 in this subject. This is my lowest grade this semester. I know that I’m blessed because, at least, I got a passing grade, which is hard to achieve in this subject. But I still feel bad because this may signal the end of my ambition to become a CPA (BSA students in PLM should have a grade of 2.00 in Math subjects). I didn’t make it. And it feels bad.
Fundamentals of Science I (NAT SCI 11). I got 1.75, lower than what I expected. Although I scored good, it only totalled to this score. But it’s still good, anyway. (This is my second-to-the-lowest grade).
Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP). I also got a 1.00 in this subject.
Foundation of Physical Activities (PE 11). Although I got absent once, I still managed to get 1.25.
Foundations of Behavioral Sciences (SOC SCI 11). As I predicted, I got 1.25. And it is a very good grade.
To sum it up, I got a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 1.43. This is a good sign since 143 means “I love you.”
This is just the start. There are still seven semesters to come. Next sem would be time for improvement and maturation. I hope to get better marks. And I’ll make sure I will.
P.S. I posted this to relieve my emotion. Honestly, I don’t feel good (because of my Math grade). I hope it’ll get better.
Four months is a very short time - and we’re all witnesses to that. But shortness didn’t become a problem for closeness to develop. In the past months, we have endured endless problems together. We laughed at even the corniest joke one would think. We have become more than just a block. We have become a family.

Block 4 with Prof. Monje (Our Adviser)
Block 4 with Prof. Isip
Block 4 with Prof. Miranda
Blockmates, hindi pa tapos ang laban. May pitong semestre pa tayo para ipakita ang natatago nating talento. Good luck!
Please pray for me so that I would get good grades on my Final Examinations. Thanks!
P.S. It’s my Dad’s Birthday! Happy Birthday Dad!
If you were a circle, how can you have a side?
- I have the inside and the outside.
If you were to keep one of your senses, what would you keep?
- I’ll keep my common sense.
How can you prove that you are a man?
- I am therefore I am.
P.S. You’re not supposed to laugh; they are not jokes. Happy Wednesday!
